Denmark Urges Drivers to Cut Fuel Use Amid Oil Shock

Denmark’s energy minister has urged citizens to reduce fuel consumption as oil prices surge following the war involving Iran.

The minister issued a direct appeal to the public, saying, “Please, please, please, if you do not need to drive, do not do so.”

Officials say limiting unnecessary travel could help reduce energy demand and ease pressure on fuel supplies as global markets react to the conflict in the Middle East.

The warning comes as disruptions to oil shipments and rising geopolitical tensions push crude prices higher, raising concerns about the impact on household costs and national energy reserves.
