US forces struck more than 50 military targets on Kharg Island overnight, US officials confirmed, in the largest single assault on the strategic oil hub since the war began.
Separately, US-Israeli strikes destroyed a bridge near Qom south of Tehran and a rail bridge in Kashan killing two people, while a key northern highway was closed after another strike.
The IDF issued an extraordinary public warning to Iranian citizens: “Your presence on trains and near railway lines endangers your life.”
Train services to Mashhad, Iran’s second city, were cancelled until further notice.
Iran’s deputy minister of youth called on citizens to form human chains around the country’s power plants as a symbolic gesture of defiance ahead of the deadline.
