Airports in the U.S. and Canada targeted in political hack

Travelers in Pennsylvania and British Columbia were stunned when public address systems and flight-information screens were hijacked to broadcast messages like “Free Palestine” and “F-* Netanyahu and Trump.”

The hacktivist group “Turkish Cyber Islam” claimed responsibility, announcing “Turkish hacker Cyber Islam was here” over airport speakers.

Authorities in both countries have launched investigations into how the attackers bypassed aviation cybersecurity protections.

Although flight operations were not disrupted, the breach exposed serious vulnerabilities in critical infrastructure and underscored how symbolic acts can provoke widespread alarm.
