Gunman Killed After Church Attack in Michigan

A gunman launched an attack on CrossPointe Community Church in Wayne, Michigan, during Sunday morning service.

The suspect, a 31-year-old white male, drove into the church grounds before opening fire, shooting a security guard in the leg.

A quick-thinking congregant struck the gunman with their truck, allowing the guard to fatally shoot him.

Around 150 worshippers were inside at the time.

No other injuries were reported.

The FBI has joined local authorities in investigating the incident.

Officials say the fast response likely prevented a mass casualty event.

The church is now offering counselling and support to shaken members.
