IRGC‑Linked Banks Including Bank Sepah Hit by Nationwide Cyberattack

Today, Iran’s IRGC‑linked banking network, notably state‑owned Bank Sepah, experienced a major cyberattack crippling ATMs and online services nationwide.

Millions of customers across Tehran, Isfahan, Tabriz, and smaller cities reported inability to withdraw funds.

Hacktivist group “Gonjeshke Darande” (Predatory Sparrows) claimed responsibility, though suspicions point to Israeli state‑linked cyber‑offensive amid escalating regional tensions.

In response, Iran’s IRGC Cyber‑Security Command has banned officials from using public networks.

The outage threatens the June 22nd payday for some 30 million clients.

Officials scramble to restore operations before economic fallout deepens.
