Fereydoon Abbasi, former head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organisation, has confirmed that Iran gained the capability to build nuclear weapons 15–20 years ago.
While claiming no official order has been given to construct a bomb, he stated: “If they tell me to build it, I will do it.
Abbasi added that any Israeli or US strike on Iran’s nuclear sites would not stop their progress.
He also suggested Iran could develop tactical nuclear weapons, hinting they could be used against Israeli military targets without violating religious rulings.
