IRGC has executed 19-year-old wrestler and anti-regime protester Saleh Mohammadi, according to rights groups and Iranian media reports today.
He was put to death in Qom alongside two other detainees, Mehdi Ghasemi and Saeed Davoudi.
Rights organisations say Mohammadi was arrested after the January protests in Qom and that his case involved allegations of forced confessions and serious due process concerns.
Iranian state-linked reporting said the three men were convicted over the killing of two police officers during the unrest.
Mohammadi’s case had drawn international attention in recent weeks because of his age and his background as a young wrestler.
