Israel has launched one of its most significant military operations against Iran, successfully eliminating top commanders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
Among those killed are IRGC chief Hossein Salami, Armed Forces Chief Mohammad Bagheri, and missile commander Amir Ali Hajizadeh.
The IDF confirmed the strike was part of “Operation Rising Lion,” which involved over 200 aircraft hitting more than 100 strategic sites inside Iran, including nuclear and missile facilities.
The assault concluded with a wave of targeted strikes against Iran’s surface-to-surface missile systems.
Iran has vowed retaliation, calling the attack a declaration of war.
