Israeli intelligence has revealed details of Hamas’s extensive propaganda apparatus, which it describes as a major psychological weapon in the conflict.
The network, overseen by top spokesperson Abu Obeida, coordinated messaging for attacks and hostage videos.
Officials say it included around 1,500 operatives, with more than 1,000 embedded in military units to film combat and about 400 working in media centres to shape narratives.
Israel claims to have neutralised more than 200 of these operatives, including Abu Obeida himself.
The disclosure underscores the scale of Hamas’s information strategy alongside its military operations.
