Man Charged After Huntingdon Train Stabbing

A 32-year-old man named Anthony Williams from Peterborough has been charged following a mass stabbing aboard an LNER train travelling from Doncaster to London King’s Cross on Saturday evening.

He faces 11 counts of attempted murder along with one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and two counts of possession of a bladed article.

The attack, which occurred shortly after the train departed Peterborough, injured at least ten people, with one rail staff member still in critical condition.

Authorities confirmed a related knife attack earlier that same day at Pontoon Dock DLR station in London is also being prosecuted as part of the case.

Police say there is currently no evidence linking the incident to terrorism.
