The Strait of Hormuz has effectively been closed to most shipping as the Middle East conflict enters its second week.
Maritime tracking data shows no vessels entering the Persian Gulf in the past 24 hours, while only a small number of ships, largely linked to Iran, have managed to exit.
Many commercial vessels remain stranded on either side of the narrow waterway due to the growing threat of missile and drone attacks following Iran’s retaliation against recent U.S. and Israeli strikes.
