At least six people were killed and more than a dozen wounded in a terrorist attack at a bus depot in Ramot Junction, north of Jerusalem.
According to Israeli authorities, two Palestinian gunmen from villages near Ramallah opened fire using modified versions of the “Carl Gustaf” submachine gun.
The assault was halted when an off-duty Israel Defense Forces soldier shot and killed both attackers.
Emergency services rushed to the scene, treating multiple victims and transferring the injured to nearby hospitals.
The attack marks one of the deadliest assaults near Jerusalem in recent months and has drawn swift condemnation.
