Poland Warns Russia Jets Could Be Shot Down if NATO Airspace Is Breached

Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski delivered a sharp warning to Moscow during an emergency UN Security Council meeting, vowing that any further Russian airspace violations will be met with force.

“If another missile or aircraft enters our space without permission, deliberately or by mistake, and gets shot down and the wreckage falls on NATO territory, please don’t come here to whine about it.

You have been warned,” Sikorski declared.

His remarks follow a series of Russian fighter jet and drone incursions over Eastern Europe that NATO has condemned as “escalatory.”

Poland’s warning underscores mounting tensions on the alliance’s eastern flank.
