Israeli ground forces are on the verge of taking full control of Bint Jbail in southern Lebanon, one of Hezbollah’s most significant strongholds, according to an Israeli military official.
The IDF says only a “small number of terrorists” remain in the town.
Israeli forces have now deployed five divisions across southern Lebanon with a stated goal of pushing Hezbollah north of the Litani River and demolishing border settlements.
Netanyahu visited Israeli troops inside Lebanese territory on Sunday – the first such visit since the war began – and said the conflict is not over.
