A 19-year-old former National Guardsman has been arrested for plotting a mass shooting at a US military base in Michigan.
Believing he was working with ISIS, he flew a drone over the base, supplied armour-piercing rounds, trained agents in Molotov cocktail use, and chose a building to maximise casualties.
Unbeknownst to him, his “ISIS contacts” were undercover agents.
He even filmed himself pledging allegiance to ISIS in front of their flag.
Discharged from the Guard just five months ago, he now faces up to 40 years in prison if convicted.
