Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar reports that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman told Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of “the necessity of political marginalization of Hezbollah.”
According to the report, El-Sisi urged patience, calling for “waiting for the results of the parliamentary elections” and supporting the choices of the Lebanese people while backing the current government.
Egypt is said to be seeking to reaffirm the Lebanese state as the sole authority responsible for security and military decisions.
