Donald Trump has announced that two U.S. nuclear submarines are now strategically positioned in response to recent comments by former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev, who serves as Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council.
Trump described Medvedev’s remarks as “foolish and inflammatory,” warning that words can trigger serious consequences.
He emphasised the move was precautionary, expressing hope that the situation would not escalate.
