Three suicide attackers targeted the Federal Constabulary headquarters in Peshawar, killing at least three security personnel and injuring several civilians.
One bomber detonated at the main gate, while the other two attempted to storm the facility but were shot dead before reaching the morning parade area, where dozens of officers were gathered.
Their interception prevented what officials say could have been a mass-casualty attack.
Hospitals in the city declared emergencies and the surrounding district was sealed off as security forces searched for possible accomplices.
Authorities say the assault resembles previous attacks by armed groups active along the Pakistan–Afghanistan border.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the bombing and promised that those behind it would be identified and held accountable.
