Iran Warns It Is Ready for Preemptive Strikes

Iran’s newly established Defense Council has issued a warning saying it is prepared to carry out preemptive attacks if it determines an imminent threat from what it calls its “enemies.”

The statement signals a more aggressive security posture as regional tensions rise and unrest continues inside the country.

Officials did not specify potential targets but framed the policy as defensive and necessary to protect national security.

Analysts say the language marks a shift toward open deterrence and increases the risk of rapid escalation with Israel, the United States or regional rivals if Tehran claims a threat has crossed its red lines.
