Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel is actively undermining Iran’s regime in the hope of giving the Iranian people a chance to remove it themselves.
He said such an outcome would not happen quickly or easily, but argued that sustained pressure could allow Iranians to take their fate into their own hands.
Netanyahu also said Israel is assisting its American allies in the Gulf both indirectly and through direct action, adding that “many more surprises” lie ahead.
His remarks come as Israel signals it is preparing for an extended campaign of strikes against Iranian military and security targets.
